Doctor of Dental Medicine

Education

Once Dr. Hiren Patel earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University Dental School in 2004, he began practicing dentistry in Connecticut. After four years, he decided to relocate to Matthews because he found it an ideal community to raise a family. For a decade, Dr. Patel ran an office in Charlotte. In 2018, he opened First-in-Smiles Dentistry – right here in Matthews – and has been helping your neighbors smile with confidence ever since.

Continuing education is essential to Dr. Patel because he loves learning and offering patients exceptional care. He completed post-graduate training at the Spears Institute and the International Congress of Implantologists.

Practice Philosophy

When he was a kid, Dr. Patel was saddened when he lost a tooth. This incident motivated him to pursue a career in dentistry and develop his philosophy, which is to help patients however possible so they can live life with a healthy, confident smile.

Away From Dentistry

When he isn’t rejuvenating patients’ smiles through dentistry, Dr. Patel relishes quality time with family. He and his wife, Jagruti, have been married for more than 20 years. Together, they have a daughter and son. Dr. Patel is an avid golfer and involved with his temple for spiritual growth. He likes learning about different cultures, traveling, and reading.

Doctor of Dental Medicine

Education

After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University Dental School in 2004, Dr. Hiren Patel practiced in Connecticut for four years. Because he found Charlotte to be a balanced place to raise a family, he made NC his home and opened Regal Oaks Dental Office in 2008.

Passionate about dentistry and learning, Dr. Patel regularly advances his knowledge with continuing education. To ensure your family has access to the most comprehensive treatment planning and advanced dental care, Dr. Patel has pursued extensive post graduate training with the prestigious Spears Institute and International Congress of Implantologists (ICOI).

Practice Philosophy

When Dr. Patel was a child, he lost a tooth and it was devastating. This experience prompted both his career and his practice philosophy … to avoid dental issues in any way he can, so you can keep your healthy smile and confidence.

Balancing old wisdom with the latest technology is Dr. Patel’s priority. He places his focus on providing a cohesive and comfortable environment for everyone under his care while taking a comprehensive approach to your treatment. Catering to your individual needs, Dr. Patel works with you to establish and preserve a relationship that’s based on your positive experience – at each dental visit.

Away From Dentistry

Dr. Patel is heavily involved with his temple for spiritual growth and stays active by playing tennis and golf. He enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures and reading.
